Actuate's BIRT Exchange web service allows BIRT developers to share and review code, report designs, and tutorials; download development tools; and contribute to community-generated content. Sitting atop a substantial content database, the user interface prioritized application-grade functionality such as tiered content categorization; progressive content filtering; user ranking, comments and reviews; and contextual recommendations. Additional deliverables include broadcast email design, icon and diagram design, and a style guide for maintaining the web application.
